DrumDogs are an ensemble of world percussionists based in San Diego, California. Our experiences range from Taiko, Middle-Eastern, African, Irish, to Brazillian and more. The music has roots in many cultures and we use a variety of drums and percussion instruments that span the globe. Our instruments range from djembes to doumbeks, from ikigalas to didgeridoos.

We have developed a group that is less structured than a cultural band, but more structured than a drum circle. Our drum styles (rhythmic freestyle) are based on various ethnic beats, but played in a freestyle, non-traditional format.

Our goal is to show unity through drumming by blending various styles and cultures into our performances, as well as provide entertainment.

We are available for drum circles, drum classes, club drumming and performances, festivals, parties, schools, and other venues. We also offer other entertainment including bellydancers, African dancers, fire dancers, and other similar talent.

Instruments include, but are not limited to: djembes, doumbeks, congas, didgeridoo, bodhran, frame drums, ikigalas, riqq (tambourine), agogo, bells, claves, zills (finger cymbals), and chappa (hand cymbals).
